Alan Philipson and I are thrilled to announce that we have joined the Double Trouble Kickstarter! Double Trouble is an anthology of all-new stories by members of the International Association of Media Tie-In Writers! Each story will pair up an existing character from a known “public domain” (out of copyright) universe with another character. Come read adventures starring Annie Oakley, Captain Nemo, Dr. Jekyll, Don Quixote, and more!
In Alan and my story, we are bringing Flaxman Low back into the cultural landscape! Flaxman Low was the world’s first occult detective, and his stories were written by a mother-son team under the pseudonyms “H. Heron” and “E. Heron.”
Flaxman’s debut occurred in England in 1895, and readers believed that his “reports” on terrifying hauntings and occult manifestations were real! The stories are very creepy and we are loading up on our teamup story with creeps galore.
We are pairing Flaxman with Mezzanotte, a new character created by Alan Philipson. He is a manifestation of Dracula, but he is not Dracula, and he happens to be an old-school Mafia hitman who has survived for centuries in different parts of the world. We are writing a series of comics about Mezzanotte, which will be collected into a graphic novel for an international publisher of ours—but more on that later!
Please support our Kickstarter, and thank you!
