I am at the Romance Writers of America annual conference, which is fun, educational, a bit nervewracking, and awesome, but my beloved Disneyland is a quick walk from here. I went over to the Jolly Holiday Bakery after my Barnes and Noble signing on Thursday night to get some peace and quiet (sort of) to study for my UCSD copyediting midterm (which I just uploaded. Fingers crossed, prayers to St. Jude made. Grateful for the Pass/Fail option.)
And I am DYING to go back to Disneyland just to bask before I go home tomorrow to San Diego.
Here at Casa de Marriott Hotel, I have work to do, friends to see, and I’m going to the big RITA awards tonight to cheer on new friends and old (GO, Magdalen Braden, and that woman with the flower in her hair I met after my presentation!) There is NO SPAN OF TIME today where I can go.
And It. Is. So. Close. By.
Has something like this ever happened to you? What did you do?
Is there a happy ending to this tale of Mickey Mouse missage?
Tell me really.
