I am so excited to announce the book birthday of THE SKY’S THE LIMIT, an anthology of short stories and poems from Canyon Crest Academy. Edited by Greg van Eekhout, Kathy Krevat, Sophie Camilleri, and me! There are reprints of stories by us and by other writers such as Gretchen McNeil, Jonathan Maberry, Stephanie Diaz, and Shaina Krevat. It’s just a lovely, wonderful book filled with brilliant stories and poems. All proceeds from the very hard work everyone put into it go to Village of Promise.
Village of Promise is a wonderful organization that mentors kids who have at least one incarcerated parent/guardian. They serve middle and high school students, providing support and opportunities to break the cycle of incarceration and the poverty in which many of their clients find themselves. What a fantastic way to heal the world.
Canyon Crest Academy is a public high school in San Diego, California. Their creative writing club has been putting on a conference for ten years, and this terrific anthology is a celebration of that anniversary. More on the conference in a different post.
